Things to do

Pinpointing a beautiful countryside spot that’s right between the vibrant cities of Birmingham and Coventry, the Forest of Arden offers a world of possibilities on your doorstep.

Visit Stratford-upon-Avon

Visit the picturesque market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, admire the centuries-old buildings and imagine yourself in Shakesperean England. Expect thatched roofs, idyllic gardens and lazy boat trips.

Birmingham Walking Tours

What better way to learn about the history of this mighty industrial city than a walking tour? Head off on foot and discover Birmingham’s Georgian and Victorian architecture, the famous Jewellery Quarter and the Bull Ring. Comfy shoes and camera a must.

Drayton Manor Theme Park

For a day packed with adventure, make for Drayton Manor Theme Park. Little ones will love the zoo with its cute capybaras, red pandas and lemurs, and teens will go wild for the white-knuckle rides, including river rapids and the Viking-themed Thor.

Warwick Castle

Originally built by William the Conqueror, this historic fortification brings history to life with its many crowd-pleasing experiences, including the UK’s biggest birds of prey show and jousting tournaments. Explore the 64 acres of castle grounds or brave the chilling dungeon – if you dare!

Cadbury World

Learn the magic of confectionary making at this chocolate-themed attraction. Explore an Aztec jungle to learn about the origins of cocoa, visit a Victorian street then head for the chocolate making zone. Deliciously good fun.

Cineworld Birmingham NEC

Organise a good old-fashioned night in front of the silver screen at the NEC Birmingham Cineworld. This 11-screen multiplex is a short, 15-minute drive from the resort, making it an ideal pick for a relaxed cinema trip with the family.

Stonebridge Golf Club

If you’ve explored the delights of our two golf courses and still crave more, head for Stonebridge Golf Club. This 27-hole Championship course is set in undulating parkland in the grounds of Packington Estate and offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all ages and ability levels.

Handsworth Golf Club

Located just outside Birmingham, this 18-hole course was founded in 1895, and is renowned for its picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. Make time for some lunch at the clubhouse after your game – it’s known for its friendly atmosphere.

Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club

This Warwickshire-based club offers a beautiful parkland course. Play on the 18-hole Tantara course surrounded by ancient oak and chestnut trees or opt to take on the 9 hole par 3 Avon course for less challenging play.
